My friend, Louie, and I went on a photo adventure yesterday! I have been wanting to go to this park to see if it would be a good place to have sessions and turns out- it would be! It is mainly made up of really long trails but there are some houses that make pretty fun backdrops as well! I think we were there for about 4 hours but it went by extremely fast and we didn’t walk the majority of the trails. I have read that it was very big as well as very easy to get lost in but I had no idea it would be that easy. Not that we got lost but I can see myself getting lost on those trails. Luckily though there were lots of people there for a cub scout event so we could just follow voices if we needed to.
I suppose I should explain the hubcap that you see in some of the photos. Louie and her roomy found it on a sidewalk I believe. Anyways, Louie and I thought it might be fun to tote around maybe use it in some pics for randomosity. Turns out it was a really crappy hubcap and it may or may not have cracked down the middle when Louie sat on it… Rest in peace hubcap- LOL.
Last night Teylor and I had date night! We went to see Paranormal Activity 3 and got some foodies afterwards at BJ’s. Ok, so I kept hearing that PA3 was bad and the trailer for it was misleading and blah blah blah. I thought it was really good! Much better than the first two. It was a prequel so the only reason I can think of that people dislike it is because they did not see the other two? If you hadn’t seen the other two it wouldn’t really make sense (duh). Granted, I never saw the trailer so I technically would not know if it was misleading… I still thought it was awesome. I was definitely scared the WHOLE movie! Just how I like my creepy paranormal movies. BJ’s was good as always, hadn’t been there in the longest time- it was much needed!
Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend =)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (almost) ;)

Today we got done with the crate! (Or, Crate #1, lol) I love it SO much I foresee many more crates in my future. I also am finding it fun to make things so I am pondering other ideas for photo props- things I can make! =D
Although I am excited about building things, I highly doubt I am skilled enough yet to build a balanced and safe chair. Haha, so I just ordered a KidKraft chair. It is really cute and I can’t wait to use it in a photo session!
All day today it just felt like it was going to rain. It was extremely humid out today and I could just tell the rain was going to start at any second- but it didn’t all day. Just now though, it started down pouring! I knew it was going to happen!… eventually.
Ok, super short and condensed post! I plan on posting a pic of the finished crate tomorrow =)

A lot happens in 4 days without blogging! I had a pretty eventful weekend (or eventful saturday at least). Went up to Conroe to see some family (Mike, Ami and the kiddos) and the little one was sick! =( But flash forward to now and he is doing much better I am pretty sure. Anyways, because of that half of us went out to the ‘pumpkin patch’. Not so sure that it constitutes as a real pumpkin patch because the place where they put pumpkins was probably the smallest of the ‘attractions’. But oh well, there were in fact pumpkins. It was fun though despite the disappointing fake patch. What was really fun was seeing the kid’s reactions to the animals they had at the petting zoo! They were acting as if they had never seen a cow before (no the cow was not actually a part of the petting zoo- they were in their own pen where kids couldn’t get to them). They were watching this cow for at least 5 minutes (Ami and I laughing at them the whole time) and I think if we wouldn’t have gotten them detached from the fence they could have probably stayed there a half hour. They were also trying to talk to the cow and call it to come over, it was their pet cow- DUH! ;)
Some pics of course!
After Conroe ended up going up to ‘the country’ and seeing more family! It was a really good Saturday =) Sunday, though, is a different story. It was filled with homework and other chores. But I suppose that is technically some relax time as well, can’t complain too much.
Today, my Grandaddy and I made a wood crate! Well, we started on it yesterday but ran into some planning problems and had to make a second trip to Lowe’s to get more supplies. Although, for him and I two trips isn’t half bad! I have to knock on wood though because it isn’t done yet. I don’t anticipate another hardware store visit though for this crate. It turned out really cute! It is red right now- paint is drying. After it dries I plan on distressing it and putting turquoise over it. I can already foresee it becoming my favorite prop for babies and kids!

Going to finish it up on Thursday! I am really excited about it!
Tomorrow is going to be a long day of classes but I will start the weekend after it is done because I don’t have class on Friday! So I get a little mini-break =) Love when that happens.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading! =)

A HUGE congratulations to my friends Chris and Kirstin on their marriage! I am so happy for them and even happier that I got to photograph the celebration! It was really fun to meet more of the family and of course take fun photos ;) And to top it all off the color theme was my favorite color, purple. Who doesn’t love a purple colour scheme? Well, maybe someone- but that someone is not me!
Those were just some of the highlights. I will put the full album up on Facebook sometime this weekend.
October 19th was the big day and now the two are off on their honeymoon. If you two are reading this (Kirstin you better be!! ;) ) I just want y’all to know how happy I am for you both. I think it is great that you two found each other and stuck with the relationship and now are married with a beautiful baby boy, a lot of people would have broken down during hard times. And I know right now isn’t the easiest, but you still got married <3 I’m not sure if I have said it enough or not… so I will say it again, seriously happy you two!
Love you Kirstin =)
So needless to say I have been exhausted the past few days which is why it has taken me so long to blog about this wonderful event. Not too terribly much has happened since then. Pika is starting to mimic sounds (my cell phone) which is exciting! I am really hoping that he is in fact the boy that I keep calling him! Females don’t talk as much as males, so they say. So to really make sure he knew to be a boy I just assumed it and named him a boy name and call him my pretty boy bird. Lol, just because I put so much effort into him being a boy watch him turn out to be a girl!
I would like to apologize in advance for more post today with photos… I am having way to much fun with these photos and am not ready to call it quits yet! Prepare yourselves for more Chris and Kirstin, people! =)

Our washing machine came in today!! Well, after the delivery people said they were going to come out Tuesday then didn’t call about it then decided to come anyways. Long story short though, we now have a new washer! Which means that I have been doing laundry all day- woot!
I also got an unexpected package today, it had my name on it but I didn’t remember ordering it. Anyways, opened it up and it was blue! Then I remembered that last week Teylor told me that he bought me something blue- I got it! It is a holder for my Moo business cards! I ordered a plastic white one when I bought them but it only holds like 10 the only Teylor got me is a leathery type material, pretty blue, and holds more like 50. It makes much more sense to carry around 50 business cards rather than 10 :P That was my second excitement of the day.
After all of that I decided that it was about time that I made a storyboard for Amber. I made this one, but I want to make another that has a different feel.

Short post today.
Don’t forget that the mini session promotion is going on! In the ad I said family photos but you can use it for any type of session that you would like. E-mail me to book a time slot! =)
Hope y’all had a happy Tuesday!

…Even when they aren’t my own! Last weekend was Teylor’s 22nd birthday and we did lots to celebrate! Not sure if this counts as part of the celebration but the weekend kicked off with Buffalo Wild Wings on Friday which makes for a great start of any weekend! Love that place- even when they don’t have wing deals going on. After that we ordered a new washer- whoohooo! So I guess the BW3′s was really celebrating the washing machine, lol.
The big event of the weekend though was going to the Wings Over Houston Air Show on Saturday! I was kinda concerned about it being boring… I don’t know anything about planes and it wasn’t initially my idea of a good time. Also, I didn’t want to die. =P Contrary to what I thought, though, the air show was really great! They had a really good mix of things. They had some ‘stunt pilots’ and then some that specialized in extremely tight formations. I wasn’t bored at all during the day (and we were there nearly ALL day!).
Teylor and I ^.^
So it is pretty obvious that I don’t have anything but portrait lenses… Haha. People had massive telephoto lenses and I was out there with my nifty fifty. Lol, oh well. I still got some fun photos =) the skydivers in the second picture look like ants!
Oh, Teylor took the helicopter photo and wanted me to make sure and tell everyone that HE took it! So this is me telling everyone that it was Teylor, the helicopter artistic genius. Hehe.
After the air show went home and pretty much pooped out. I was sooo tired after the day- the sun was pretty brutal. Took my energy from me. I have an intense sunburn on the right side of my face and neck. It was a great day for an airshow (no clouds) and a terrible day to be in the sun (no clouds). We also had a very small supply of sunscreen- my bad.
Sunday was fun as well, Teylor’s Mom made him a tiramisu cake! It was SOO good! Other than that we didn’t do much on Sunday. We also tried a new Brazilian steakhouse that opened near us pretty recently. It ended up being very good, not all of it was amazing but a few things were for sure!
I think that is all of my exciting weekend. I made some new tabs for the Facebook page today and studied- that’s pretty much it. The rest of this week is going to be a TON of studying.
Hope everyones week goes well <3
